Fruit Research and Innovation

At pcfruit, we conduct applied scientific research in fruit growing to support sustainable, efficient and high-quality fruit production. As a specialised fruit research centre in Belgium, we work with fruit growers, research institutions and industry partners to address current challenges and develop practical solutions for the fruit sector.

Our research covers a wide range of disciplines, including organic fruit production, soil health and plant nutrition, integrated pest management, precision fruit growing, digital technologies and robotics. We also investigate sustainable crop protection, climate resilience, water and energy management, cultivation techniques, post-harvest storage, and the economic aspects of fruit production.

By combining scientific expertise with practical field research, we evaluate new techniques, technologies and cultivation strategies under real growing conditions. Our projects range from improving crop management and resource efficiency to developing innovative solutions for plant health, fruit quality and sustainable production.

Discover how pcfruit contributes to innovation in fruit growing by translating scientific knowledge into practical solutions for growers and businesses. For more information about our research expertise or potential collaborations, please feel free to contact us.
