Fireblight remote sensing technique
Fireblight (Erwinia amylovora) is extremely important for fruit producers and tree nurseries, especially when export of fruit or trees in envisaged. To be able to execute an effective but also financially and technically feasible monitoring of orchards, nurseries and their environment, a remote sensing technique is developed to obtain an early system detection. Mounted on UAV’s, this technique could lead to the establishment of wider areas of fire blight free zones, from which export of fruit or fruit trees can be organized.
