The Experimental Garden Hageland

The Experimental Garden for Pome and Stone fruits has an off- site activity in the region ‘Hageland’ in a private orchard on a sandy loam soil.  The focus of this research is on fertilization and on the production of high quality fruit (fruit set, thinning, skin quality). Furthermore, a lot of emphasis is on the preservation of biodiversity, with –amongst others- measurements which stimulate solitary bee populations.
