Thrips damage

Thrips damage in strawberry production is increasing over the latest years. As a consequence multiple insecticide treatments evoke resistance formation. Therefore, this project aims to elaborate efficient biological control measures based on beneficial micro- or macro organisms.

The efficacy under various conditions of Flemish strawberry production will be investigated. Furthermore, more information will be generated on the biology and population dynamics of thrips in strawberry production systems.
