The season of 2017 was more or less in line with the overall mean phenology dates for insects. Especially coleoptera caused a lot of damage on apple and pear, as well as the caterpillars damaging fruits. Drosophila suzukii caused considerable losses. The latter especially due to the early onset of the pest. In terms of new or upcoming pests, attention should go to sawflies, stinkbugs and Coleoptera pests in pome fruits.
